Prep Cook Job Announcement
One On call position available ~ Open until filled
SUMMARY
To efficiently process and complete needed steps in the food prep area. To clean working area and other kitchen areas as defined by the supervisors. To uphold the standards of guest relations with friendliness and cleanliness as lined out by Food and Beverage Department. Primary responsibilities and job functions are included in Job Description which is available in Human Resources upon request.
MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must obtain a Food Handler’s permit from Lane County.
• Experience preferred. Not required.
• Subject to pre-employment drug testing and criminal history background check which may include fingerprinting.
• Must have employment eligibility in the U.S.
• Must receive and maintain a valid (non-gaming, low, high or professional) security license from the Tribal Gaming Commission.
• Indian Preference will be observed in the hiring process.
LEVEL OF AUTHORITY & RESTRICTIONS
• No supervisory authority
PHYSICAL & MENTAL DEMANDS
• Must be able to lift at least 75 pounds.
• Must be able to regularly stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, and reach with hands and arms.
• Must be able to frequently stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk and hear.
• Must be able to stand for extended periods of times.
• Must be able to periodically work in a warm to hot environment.
WORKING CONDITIONS & ENVIRONMENT
• Must be able to handle high volume environment.
• Must be able to maintain a high level of sanitation/cleanliness in area as well as equipment.
• Must be able to work in a smoke-filled environment.
• Must be able to work all shifts, weekends, holidays & special events as needed.
